About Daffy
Meet Daffy - Your Big, Boisterous, Wrinkly Work-in-Progress! Daffy is a 1-year-old Neapolitan Mastiff x Boerboel with a gloriously wrinkly face and a bit of that classic Daffy Duck "woo-hoo!" energy. He's goofy, food-motivated, and affectionate once he trusts you - but make no mistake, Daffy is a project dog- think "work in progress," not "ready-made." He needs an experienced, confident owner used to guardian breeds and XL strength.
He's had some negative experiences in the past and can be anxious with strangers, new dogs, or unpredictable environments (like windy days).
Daffy would thrive in a calm, low-traffic home (suburban or semi-rural), with adults or older teens. He may suit a home with another well-balanced large dog, but intros must be slow and managed.
In the right hands, Daffy has the makings of a truly incredible dog. If you've got experience with guardian breeds, a sense of humour about drool, and the commitment to see this boy through the ups and downs of rehabilitation - come meet Daffy. He might be a little looney tunes now, but with you, he just might find his happy ever after.
Adoption details
Our adoption process is designed to match you with the right pet, the first time. Our team are experts at rehoming animals who have specific needs that match your lifestyle, to ensure every adoption placement will last a lifetime.
At our Peninsula site, adoption hours are 12pm – 4pm. You are welcome to attend our reception office without an appointment to begin our adoption process during adoption hours.
The adoption areas are not free to walk through, and you will need to chat with our staff to confirm that a potential adoption is a good match.
Once the adoption has been discussed, a staff member will facilitate a walk-through of the adoption areas or have an animal brought to you in a greeting area.
