🐶 Meet Mako – The Little Champion 🐶

This sweet little man may have had a rough start, but he’s proving every day just how resilient and loving he is. Still waiting on his final vaccination, he’s been making the most of his time at home — and what a journey it’s been!

✨ What I’ve Learned So Far:
• I can sit, shake, and I’m so close to mastering drop!
• I eat politely with my foster siblings and don’t mind little hands or fingers around me — even during mealtime.
• I’m crate trained and tuck myself in every night when I’m ready for bed.
• I’ve gone 4 whole days without any accidents in the house! I follow my foster brother and sister outside to do my business like a big boy.
• I’m learning that jumping up isn’t the best way to say hello — but I’m working on it!

💛 My Personality:
• I’m a gentle soul who’s still a bit wary of loud noises and sudden movements.
• Men can make me nervous, but I’m slowly warming up to my foster dad — calm cuddles and soft voices help me feel safe.
• I’m curious, affectionate, and eager to learn. I just need a little patience and a lot of love.

🌊 Adventures Await:
• My only outing so far has been to Hearson Cove at low tide — it’s the only safe place I can go until I get my final jab.
• I’m practicing walking on a lead around the house and getting better every day.
• My foster mum says I’ll be ready to explore the big wide world very soon!

Flying for a few hours is very important for animals in remote locations, because it gives us the opportunity to be adopted. Talk to SAFE about flying me to you in Perth.
