About Pepper
Meet Pepper! His name is Pepper, however his nickname from his foster mum is Teddy. She thinks he is a big black teddy bear. A goofy one! đ§ž
He is very shy at first, and feeling safe is the most important thing for him. It takes him a while to come around but when he does, he shines. đ§Ą
He likes a quiet home as he is not a fan of sudden movements or lots of noise. When visitors come he tends to retreat to his safe space. He is a quiet soul. đ€«
He absolutely LOVES being patted and brushed! He could spend all day being pampered in this way. đ„°
He is not the kind who likes to be picked up, but heâll come and lie with you and want to be with you. He is the best kinda companionship buddy⊠who⊠as we said⊠just loves to be brushed! đ.
He wasnât sure about playing with toys at first as he wasnât sure what to do, but now he loves them! His favourite thing is to race after the ball when his foster mum throws it across the room. đ§¶
Have you ever wanted a cat who doesnât disturb your sleep at night? Well thatâs Pepper! You donât even know when he is sleeping at the end of the bed. He is a cat that respects your space. đ
He is a little lazy when it comes to meowing and tends to meow more often than not with his mouth shut⊠gorgeously weird! The only time youâll hear him meow is when he is being fed. He loves his food. đ€Ș
Due to having urinary crystals, Pepper is on a prescription diet which will need to continue to keep him happy and healthy. đ©ș
He is toilet trained đœand uses his scratching posts. đ
Life is good as long as itâs calm and Pepper has the love of a very special human friend. đ§Ą
Pepper needs a quiet inside only home with security screens. đĄ

Adoption details
We list animals for adoption on Pet Rescue as well as on our own Animals-in-Need-Brisbane website. We talk with people who contact about an animal to see what their needs and situation are. Our emphasis is on getting the right animal for the people and the right people for the animal. If everyone's needs are met things usually work out well.
Please note all our cats are indoor cats only.
If the situation sounds good we arrange a meeting. If all goes well we let people try the animal out for a couple of weeks to ensure that everyone is happy.
We keep records of all adopters, follow up to ensure all is well and undertake to take back any animal if circumstances change.
