About Rusty
Meet Rusty, a puppy who operates on the charming assumption that he is already the CEO of everything.
If you are looking for a playful companion, Rusty is your guy. He is phenomenal with other dogs and is never afraid to initiate a vigorous, playful tussle. When the fun starts, Rusty naturally takes the lead, ensuring everyone knows the rules of the game (which usually involve fetching and chasing until exhaustion).
This same boldness extends to the feline members of the household. While many puppies flee at a hiss, Rusty simply moves closer. After a decisive attempt to befriend the cats, and receiving some firm negative feedback, he stood his ground and offered a tiny, defiant growl in return. This pup has backbone, and we love him for it!
Despite his bossy demeanor, Rusty is surprisingly well-mannered. He understands patience. He will sit dutifully at your feet until you acknowledge him, and he waits calmly to be picked up, a great trait. He is mastering the basic commands, sitting politely for his meal, and is making excellent progress with toilet training, even indicating when he needs to go outside. Learning is easy for him, especially when he has a role model to copy.
But beneath the hardened exterior of a fearless leader lies the true Rusty: a massive teddy bear. When playtime ends, the demanding boss melts entirely into an incredibly cuddly boy! He will happily sit on your lap for a long snuggle session or curl up near your feet in his own space.
He listens and responds, though occasionally with a touch of puppy attitude. However, his expressiveness and incredible, heart-melting eye contact ensure that any momentary sass is quickly forgiven.
Rusty’s future is bright and full of potential. With the right family, this little man will either grow into your gentle, cuddly couch companion, your constant teddy bear, or, if given the space and guidance, he has all the natural confidence required to become an absolute Boss, ready to protect his territory and family.
If you are ready for a confident, cuddly, ballsy little leader who will fill your home with laughter and love, Rusty is waiting.
