About Milo STA013954
What does Milo’s perfect day look like?
Wake up beside her favourite person, spend a little time watching the birds, chase a wand toy around, make a few biscuits and then settle in for a very serious afternoon nap. Preferably on your bed, of course.
Milo has been blossoming beautifully in foster care. When she first arrived, she was wary of affection and unsure about getting too close. But with patience, kindness and the security of a loving home, this sweet girl has gradually discovered just how lovely having her own people can be.
These days, Milo sleeps beside her foster family at night, joins them on the couch and has even discovered the joys of being a lap cat. One particularly special milestone came after two months in foster care, when her family finally heard her purr for the very first time.
Milo isn’t a girl who needs constant pats and fuss. What she really loves is closeness. She wants to be near her people, sharing their space and quietly keeping them company. She would make a wonderful companion for someone who likes the idea of having a gentle little shadow following them through their day.
A peaceful home will suit her best, as the noise and unpredictability of younger children can leave her feeling unsure.
Milo does require regular medication, but her foster family has found it easy to manage — and thankfully, Milo is very forgiving afterwards!
This beautiful girl has already come such a long way. She may take a little time to show her new family everything she has to offer, but give her patience, security and somewhere comfortable beside you, and you’ll get to watch her confidence continue to grow.
For someone looking for a sweet, gentle companion rather than the life of the party, Milo might just be your perfect little shadow.

Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
