About Dandie
Hi, I’m Dandie!
I’m a 7 month old Pomeranian x Chihuahua, and I was surrendered at 9 weeks old with a broken leg. I’m all fixed now, my leg has healed perfectly, and I’m busy making up for lost time!
I’m a friendly little girl who loves people of all sorts, and I have been well socialised with dogs, however I get a bit shy around really confident dogs who are bigger than me. I like small-ish dogs who are gentle, but playful. I am very loyal to my humans and will sit closely with you, even on your feet. I also have FOMO and will follow you everywhere… EVERYWHERE!
My favourite thing in the whole world is chasing my ball/rope thingy across the yard, and running, running and more running! I will bring it back when I’m good and ready… just so you can throw it again!
I’m also great in the car, and I love going to the beach and digging holes in the sand. I’m not a water baby, but maybe I’ll grow into that.
I love my food - I happily eat my Hills puppy kibble and appreciate a treat when it’s offered. I really like chicken, apple, cucumber and carrots.
I’m toilet trained to use pee pads, or the grass. I sleep all night in my little bed, except for one wake up to potty, but then I immediately go back to sleep.
I don’t like being left behind so I would prefer someone who works from home or a family with people on different shifts so there’s always someone around. I’ll bark when you first leave the house, but eventually I settle, I may not be great in an apartment for this reason, plus I’d really love a yard to run around in. Also due to my biggish size (I’m around 5kg already) and my general puppy silliness, I might be a bit boisterous for small kids, but older kids are ok.
I’m looking forward to a lifetime of fun adventures… and following you EVERYWHERE!
Medical notes
Almost 7 month old Dandie is desexed and microchipped. She is up-to-date with vaccinations as well as flea, tick, intestinal worm and heartworm prevention.
Dandie had a broken left hind leg at 9 weeks of age and had specialist ‘ex fit’ surgery done by Dr. Lance Wilson at the Animal Referral Hospital. Her leg has healed perfectly and she can run around as normal.
She is otherwise in perfect puppy health.
