Boof is a beautiful Kelpie x Heeler who defies the “high-energy” stereotype of his breeds. He’s calm, gentle, and happiest when life moves at an easy pace. Loyal and affectionate, Boof loves nothing more than spending his days close to his humans — whether it’s lying at your feet, soaking up the sunshine in the backyard, or enjoying a cozy cuddle (he’s convinced he’s a lapdog!).

Boof walks beautifully on lead, greets people and dogs with quiet curiosity, and happily joins his foster dad in the office before snoozing the day away. He enjoys soft toys, gentle play, and being a steady, comforting companion. While he’s still mastering commands like sit and stay, he’s an eager learner and thrives with patient guidance.

Boof takes anxiety medication to help him feel safe and confident, and he’s working on building independence when left alone. He will do best in a calm, dog-experienced home with older children or teens, consistent routines, gentle support, and plenty of love. A quiet environment with a securely fenced yard and humans who are home often is ideal.
