About Spot (On Trial)
Spot is on trial 17/8. Please consider our other dogs at www. Dogrescuenewcastle. Com. Au particularly buddie, digby, and riley. . . Spot is a 6 month old bull arab x. Very sweet, loving + smart, cheeky + hilarious! great w kids, dogs and cats. He settled in immediately to his foster home. The minute he was dropped off, he ran inside set and himself up on the lounge like a king, then stretched out and had a sleep, so no problems settling in!. . . He is fantastic with younger children (mine are 3 and 6, and love to rough house him, he loves it and is still very gentle) and loves to chase them around the yard. If they lie down he loves to lay on them and nibble at their fingers and toes and it is even funnier because he thinks he is the size of a small cat, and is crawling all over them!. . . He gets on well with cats and kittens. The first time he met our kitten, he was quite taken back as he had no idea what a cat was! but now, they love to chase each other around the house and playfully fight each other and love to sleep together!. . . He gets on great with other dogs, it’s a great way for him to burn energy and he is very playful with them and he really enjoys the socialising. He does like to show off when he comes inside with our dog, he grabs her and has to jump on her, nibble her and he likes to make sure we are watching, very cute!. . . Spot loves to go for walks, he is still learning not to pull on the leash so much and does like to have a bark at other dogs or people he sees when walking but he normally stops when he is told to, even if the other dogs are still barking at him. . . . He is both an indoors and outdoors dog, although due to the colder weather he has been sleeping inside at night. Spot is in the process of being house trained and he knows basic commands such as sit and stay. He will also follow commands from my children, especially if they have food! he will instantly sit at their feet and look at them, hoping to get a piece of what they have! he is learning how to "shake" and "kiss". Teaching him basic training isn’t be a problem, as he is a fast learner with the right rewards and guidance. . . . Spot loves nothing more than to snuggle up in bed with us, although he does snore sometimes and has a lot of flatulence when sleeping (laugh) but they are very funny and cute quirks of his! another of his favourites is to lie on the rug in front of the heater and have a big long sleep. . . He is an extremely cheeky boy and always making us laugh. He is constantly finding shoes, toys and anything else to chew on (except his chew toys) and when these items are taken off him, he will give you that sad, puppy dog look that will melt your heart!. . . We can't be positive about his breed but can only go by what he looks like. . . Spot is a very friendly dog and will go to anyone for a pat and a cuddle! he loves to follow us around from room to room as he doesn’t like to be alone as yet. So he would be suited to someone who is home most of the time, or a home with children and/or other pets to keep him company. . . . If you are looking for a loyal, cheeky, affectionate, well adjusted and sweet natured dog to become a part of your family, then please contact us! spot will be forever grateful to find his forever home, he deserves it!. . . *** please see more photos of spot at
