About Apawllo
Apawllo's story is a sad one. When he first arrived at The Lost Dogs' Home, he was a shadow of the cat he's becoming. He was dirty, frightened, and unsure of what kindness meant. Life on the streets had left him wary and withdrawn; even the gentlest touch was too much for him to bear.
But over time, something beautiful has started to happen. With patience, safety, and a steady supply of tasty treats, Apawllo is beginning to remember what it feels like to trust. These days, he accepts soft pats - and on brave days, he even leans in for more. He absolutely adores his snacks and can often be coaxed out of his cozy little hidey-hole for a treat and a quiet hello.
Apawllo is showing all the signs of a cat with a wonderful social side, but the shelter environment is still too overwhelming for him to fully shine. The noise, the smells, the constant movement, it's just too much for a gentle soul who's still finding his feet. What he really needs now is a calm, loving home where he can keep blossoming at his own pace.
A home for Apawllo means:
A quiet space where he feels safe to explore when he's ready
Patience and understanding as he continues to build confidence
Soft voices and slow movements to show him that the world isn't so scary anymore
Lots of yummy treats (his favourite way to make friends!)
In the right home, Apawllo's sweet nature will continue to unfold - the shy boy who once hid from the world will learn that love feels good, that safety is real, and that he's finally home.
When you adopt a cat like Apawllo, you're not just giving him a home, you're giving him the opportunity at a second chance at life. You become his safe place in a world that once felt dangerous. One day, when he leans into your touch or curls up nearby, you'll know you've earned something rare and beautiful: the trust of a soul who's fought hard to survive.
Apawllo is part of our Rescue or Rehome program, where we are committed to finding homes for cats and kittens who simply cannot cope in the shelter environment.
