About Basil
Froggy is just seven months old, still only a baby. Life hasn't been easy for her. Before coming to us, she was out in the world trying to survive on her own, unsure who to trust. Luckily, a kind and patient person took the time to befriend her and brought her to The Lost Dogs' Home to make sure she was safe, warm, and given the chance she deserves.
Here in care, Froggy is absolutely terrified. Everything is new, loud, and confusing. She presses himself into corners, hoping the world will stop feeling so big and scary. But behind those wide, worried eyes, we can see the tiniest glimmer of the sweet kitten he truly is, the one who just needs someone to believe in her.
Helping a frightened cat like Froggy find her confidence takes time, patience, and heart. She'll need:
A quiet, calm home where she can settle at her own pace
A safe space, maybe a cozy spare room or a quiet corner where she can retreat when she's overwhelmed
Gentle encouragement, soft voices, slow movements, and space to just be
Understanding eyes that notice the small victories: a relaxed tail, a blink of trust, a purr after days of silence
Cats like Froggy don't show their gratitude right away, but when they do, it's magic. Watching a scared kitten learn to feel safe, to play, to trust again, it's one of the most rewarding journeys you can take.
The truth is, Froggy might not have had a chance if not for people like you - people willing to look past fear and see the life that deserves saving. If your heart is big enough to hold a little bit of fear and a whole lot of hope, Froggy is waiting for you.
Froggy is part of our Rescue or Rehome program, where we are committed to finding homes for cats and kittens who simply cannot cope in the shelter environment. If you can open your heart and home to Froggy - or if you're a rescue group able to help - please reach out to us at adoptions@dogshome.com
