About Poppy
Introducing Poppy!
Poppy is a Domestic Short Hair born 24th April 2024.
Poppy was brought in to us with multiple other cats from a cat hoarding situation. As she has come from this environment she can be timid around new people, however we've noticed that her love of liquid treats quickly help her overcome this fear.
When Poppy came to us she was incredibly shy but with the aid of treats and a gentle hand she is slowly but surely warming up to us. Her favourite humans are able to pet her with ease & pick her up (only in short increments). Poppy absolutely loves her treats so she will need a steady supply at home.
Given how timid she can be, we are recommending a home with either no children, or a home with children over 10 years.
As mentioned, Poppy has come from a home with lots of cats, so we believe she would be best suited to live with other feline friends, however we are open to her being an only cat for the right family.
Poppy will be rehomed to a family who will keep her as an inside cat only.
Poppy is litter trained and would make a wonderful addition to most families.
If you think you could be that furever family for Poppy, please contact our friendly staff via email at ccacfpetadoptions@gmail.com or 0499 900 272 to organise a meet and greet.
Her adoption fee is $260 & this includes her desexing, vaccination and lifetime registration. She is also regularly treated for fleas and worms.
Poppy is currently located in East Maitland.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
