Meet adorable little Sweetie Pie! A 5kg incredibly affectionate little Jack Russell!

She is extremely smart, a quick learner and very affectionate! She loves nothing more than pottering around the house and garden and having a big snuggle on the couch with her human. Sweetie Pie responds really well to a calm environment which provides patient and positive reinforcement – she has had a lot of changes in her short life and is still learning about the world.

Sweetie Pie has been in a foster home with a medium sized terrier who she has coexisted with, but much prefers showering her human with love and attention and due to some resource guarding, she needs to be the only pet in the household.

She sleeps through the night without a peep and is a brilliant traveller in the car! In addition, she is almost fully toilet trained and will take herself out to the garden via the doggy door to do her business.

Some important things to note:

Sweetie Pie is protective of her home environment and quite vocal when people walk past. In addition, after a recent visit by an unfamiliar dog, it is clear that going forward these situations will require gentle introductions.

Sweetie Pie also struggles with separation anxiety so she must go to a home where her human/s are home most of the time and are 100% committed to patiently helping her to work through this.

Her adopter/s need to be prepared to commit to 1:1 training with a professional dog trainer to ensure she develops into the best and happiest version of herself.

This precious little girl has had a lot of upheaval in the first 12 months of her life and is looking for a stable, patient and loving home that she can call her own – one in which she will be appreciated for the beautiful, affectionate little girl that she is!
