About Beaumont
I am trying a new home to see if i like it. Beaumont the cavalier is a fantastic little dog who is foster care with a family who have four young children and a very nice greyhound. Beaumont spends his time playing with the greyhound or the children and is absolutely perfect with them as they are ;dog savvy; and know the way a dog like beaumont likes and needs to be treated. Beaumont must go to a new home with another gentle and playful dog for company as we will not rehome him as an only dog. Beaumont enjoys laying on the couch with the family getting his tummy tickled and is good in the car. He is house trained and is a house dog so must have indoor access via a doggy door or similar. Beaumont will enjoy outings to the dog park with the family as he is a very sociable boy. Beaumont was unable to be rehomed from the pound as he was diagnosed with a grade 4 heart murmur and paws rescued him with the intention of taking him to a specialist for a correct diagnosis of his heart murmur. The specialist from sash did an echogram and diagnosed his condition as genetic and in keeping with the cavalier king charles breed. Beaumont has no obvious signs at the moment (except for the heart murmur) and the specialist has said that he can lead a normal life. . . Running, jumping, playing, swimming, whatever makes him happy. He will need to go back to the specialist for another echogram in 12 months to see how his heart is and it is expected that beaumont will require heart medication some years down the track. In the meantime, beaumont can have a happy and healthy life and will make a wonderful companion to a family who loves the cavalier breed. Beaumont has a fairly low maintenance coat that needs regular brushing to keep him looking his best. Once available for adoption, beaumont will come desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, on heartworm prevention and with nsw local council lifetime registration and will not be available for adoption outside nsw. He has also had a recent dental (teeth cleaned under anaesthetic). Expressions of interest are currently being taken for beaumont while his medical tests are being undertaken.
