About Sammy
Introducing Sammy!
Sammy is a Domestic Short Hair born 24th April 2024.
Sammy was brought in to us with multiple other cats from a cat hoarding situation. You would think that coming from a home with a lot of animals & not much human interaction that she'd be scared of new people, but this beautiful girl is one of the friendliest cats we've met.
Since being at the facility, Sammy has been incredibly affectionate with staff & volunteers. She has an incredibly loud purr & when she opens her mouth while doing so, it projects the sound even further. She loves a belly rub and will chat/rub herself on you if you're not giving her the attention she deserves. Sammy loves her treats and has found her love for wet food in general.
As mentioned, Sammy has come from a home with lots of cats, so we believe she would be suitable to live with other feline friends, however given how happy she is with human attention we also feel she'd be quite happy being a spoilt only "child".
While we haven't had a dog interacting with her, she doesn't appear to be fazed when friendly dogs come up to her enclosure to say hello. She simply comes up to the wire of the enclosure to have a sniff, then lays back down again.
Sammy will be rehomed to a family who will keep her as an inside cat only.
Sammy is litter trained and would make a wonderful addition to most families.
If you think you could be that furever family for Sammy, please contact our friendly staff via email at ccacfpetadoptions@gmail.com or 0499 900 272 to organise a meet and greet.
Her adoption fee is $260 & this includes her desexing, vaccination and lifetime registration. She is also regularly treated for fleas and worms.
Sammy is currently located in East Maitland.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
