About Hecate
Meet Hecate — your new mischief-maker, cuddle-seeker, and all-round household enchantress.
She’s fun, she’s friendly, she’s affectionate, and she’s on a mission to bring joy (and a little bit of silliness) to every corner of her home.
Hecate is the kind of cat who loves her people with her whole heart. She shows it in the sweetest ways: weaving around your legs, chirping for attention, and presenting her chin for scratches like a queen accepting tribute. She’s not big on being picked up, but she’ll happily melt into a cozy nap right beside you — especially if there’s a soft blanket involved. Comfort is her love language.
This girl is social to her core. She thrives in a home where someone is around often, ready to offer affection, playtime, or simply a warm presence. With new people, Hecate is cautious but curious — give her a little time, and she’ll be confidently charming your guests, showing off her toys and her big personality.
Hecate currently lives with an older male cat who is far less enthusiastic about her relentless invitations to play. (Her playful bravery is unmatched.) In a new home, she’d adore a playful feline friend — or she’d shine just as brightly as a solo sweetheart with all the attention to herself.
Her days are a delightful mix of:
✨ Morning kibble
✨ Vigorous toy chasing (string and dancer toys are her jam)
✨ Award-winning naps
✨ Expert-level bug hunting
✨ Evening snuggles on the lounge, often curled by your legs under the doona
She’s affectionate, funny, energetic, and wonderfully expressive. The best part of having Hecate in your life? The way she asks for love so simply and sincerely — a soft meow, a gentle rub, a hopeful look that says, “Are you free for cuddles?”
If you’re searching for a loving, lively companion who will fill your home with affection, play, and a sprinkle of cheeky charm, Hecate is ready to make your world a little more magical.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
