Meet Steven - The Sweetest Soul in a Puppy Suit
Butter wouldn't melt in this boy's mouth... but your heart might when you meet him.
Steven is a 14-week-old Labrador mix with eyes that look straight into your soul and a personality that's pure sunshine. Found with no one coming forward to claim him, Steven has taken it all in stride. He's made it his mission to win over every heart at BARC - and spoiler alert: he's succeeded.
This blank slate is at a critical stage in his development, and he's looking for a home that will help him write the best possible story. Steven needs a family committed to ongoing socialisation, training, and all the love and guidance that help a pup grow into a well-rounded adult dog - a true ambassador of his breed.

He'd love to be included in family life - with a spot in the loungeroom to watch Paw Patrol, of course - and would be a wonderful companion for children aged 6 and up who are ready to form a lifelong bond and make memories as they grow alongside this gorgeous boy.
What Steven Needs From You:
Raising a puppy is a big responsibility - it's messy, joyful, challenging, and incredibly rewarding. Steven will need:
Consistent training and boundaries.
Plenty of play, enrichment, and exercise.
Patience as he learns the ropes.
A lifetime commitment to his health and happiness.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
