Cuddles galore!
Sootie uffelman loves affection and will happily accept a snuggle, although his best mate Susan Uffelman can be a bit of a lap hog, meaning Sootie misses out, but, in a generous and gentlemanly manner, he will happily lay beside his foster carer on the couch. Susan and Sootie were surrendered when their family moved overseas and they will be rehomed together.
Sootie is a smoochy boy, even with strangers – he was caught giving the vet nurse a big cuddle when his foster carer collected him! Within hours of being in his foster home, Sootie was already curled up beside his carer on the couch, as Susan had already claimed the carers lap!.
Sootie is a gentle natured cat, who can be a little slow to warm up to new surroundings and needs a little time to settle. He can be timid and a little skittish or easily overwhelmed in noisy situations, but he recovers quickly. He is more passive than his bonded sister and will allow Susan to be the more dominant.
Exploring the house and playing with his bestie, Susan, is something Sootie enjoys to do. They can often be found running up and down the hallway or wrestling. As they run up and down they have fun jumping onto couches and beds. Sootie is not interested by toys, rather loves to chase and wrestle with his bestie, otherwise, he takes a quiet moment watching the birds through the window, preferably in a nice sunny spot.
Sootie is a sweet natured, handsome cat who likes company and affection. We see Sootie's ideal home being where there are two or more people - a lap for Sootie and one for Susan. A family who are home a considerable amount of time for this boy who loves human interaction.

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer free assistance for six weeks for any issues, a lifetime takeback policy with full refund of the adoption fee, and will always be available to offer advice.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.
