About Frankie
Frankie is a 7-month-old mixed breed pup rescued from a remote Aboriginal community in Central Arnhem Land, NT. He’s a gentle, affectionate boy with a calm and easy-going nature — truly one of a kind.
Frankie would thrive in a home with young children or an older person who’s home often. His rescuer believes he has all the makings of an amazing therapy dog.
Having grown up in a free-range community surrounded by other dogs, Frankie is wonderfully social and would love a home with another canine companion, or someone who can offer him plenty of company — especially until he’s around 1½ years old.
Frankie’s father, “Wooly,” is a gentle Border Collie x Wolfhound mix, and Frankie has clearly inherited his dad’s calm and loyal nature. He’s smart and quick to learn — he mastered sit and shake within minutes (with the help of a little cheese!).
This bright boy is toilet trained, walks well on lead, and travels happily in the car. Like all pups, he’s still learning not to “borrow” shoes or sneak snacks from the pantry, but he’s eager to please and learns fast.
Frankie loves to cuddle close at night and is a giant smooch ball at heart. He’s currently being fostered with two dogs and two cats in Montmorency, Melbourne VIC, where he’s proving to be a truly special little soul.
Frankie deserves a loving forever home where he’ll be part of the family — and he’ll always have a safety net with his foster carers if ever needed.
Frankie will make the most wonderful, loyal companion — could he be the one for you? 💛
