About Baxter
All About Me and My Unique Personality:
š¾ Baxter: 50kg of Love, Loyalty, & Lounging
Meet Baxter! This 5-year-old white Bull Arab is the definition of āgentle giantāāweighing in at a statuesque 50kg, with legs long enough to reach your sandwich on the kitchen counter (we recommend hiding snacks accordingly). Baxter is very much his humanās dog. If youāre the kind of person who prefers a four-legged shadow, congratulations: Baxter will follow you everywhere (yes, even the shower, just to check youāre still alive). But heās no lone wolf! Baxter lives in harmony with other dogs, cats, and even reptiles (heās more confused than interested, but isnāt everyone?).
Over the years, heās graciously accepted the company of 10 foster dogs and 3 foster cats with zero drama. Strangers at the door? Baxter will bark to announce their arrivalāsecurity detail on point. But once youāre inside, this big boy only asks for pats, treats, and maybe just a taste of your lunch. He is extremely food motivated. Training tip: a snack is worth more than gold to Baxter! Despite his size, Baxter is really a couch potato at heart. A brisk 10-minute walk is all it takes to tucker him out, and then itās straight back to the sofa for a solid nap session.
Heās looking for a home with high fencingānot because heās scheming to escape, but those legs are built like a giraffeās and we donāt want him out-clevering your garden design. Baxter would thrive as someoneās one-and-only best mate, but heād be just as happy in a home with other pets to chill and play with. If you think your house could use an oversized cuddle bug who gives unconditional loyalty (and maybe a bit of drool), send us a message and arrange a meet-and-greet with Baxter. Heās ready to be the main character in someoneās life movieācould it be yours?
My Ideal Home:
Baxter would be well suited to become a family member where he can be taken on adventures. He is suited well for owners that already have other animals, or could be a solo pet and soak up all the attention.
What is Known About My Background:
Baxter (formerly known as Knox) was a Hunter Animal Rescue puppy that was rehomed in 2020. Due to unforseen circumstances he has to be rehomed due to no fault of his own.
How Do I Interact with Kids, Dogs, Cats and Other Pets:
Baxter is great with other dogs and cats. Needs to be supervised around very young children as he is a large dog.
