My name is Alexis and this is my story.
I think I must have had a family at one point but I ended up on the euthanasia list with several other adult cats in a rural pound.
Being extremely fortunate to be saved from “ that list” I made my way down to Brisbane with my fellow escapees to our foster home. Though I share my space with my foster siblings without drama, I think I would prefer to be an only cat or maybe just one other cat.
As I have said I am sure I had a family once because I do enjoy affection, but not being sure of myself a 100 per cent of the time I will sometimes pull away from the hand that wants to stroke me. I have never gone to bite or scratch, I much prefer to retreat when I haven’t got my brave on. When I forget that I don’t have to be scared I very keen for whole body pats and your presence.
Though I know my foster mum loves me, she says I would benefit from having a home of my very own. You could shower me with love and affection, and we could build that everlasting bond where the words “ unsure and lacking self confidence “ would be words of my past, a long distant memory.
I know I would build confidence with lots of one on one time, and with that confidence would come oodles, loads, masses of affection and devotion for a lifetime.

Adoption Process
Once you have decided you would like to meet or apply for one of our pets, we email out our Adoption Application. We ask that the Adoption Process be read and if comfortable with how we adopt, complete the application and email it back for processing. This takes approximately 5-7 days. If approved the pet will come for a 6 week trial for cats and 3 week trial for dogs . We believe it takes that long for a pet to settle. If all goes well during the trial and you wish to finalise the adoption we email all vet certificates and change of microchip forms. We believe in matching the right pet with the right home so your application does not guarantee an approval.
