Hi, I’m Akari! My name means bright and intelligent — and it suits me perfectly. I’m a loving, happy girl who adores people and never says no to pats or cuddles.

I absolutely love other dogs and always want to make friends! But not every dog loves my playful, energetic style. I can get a bit overexcited during play, so I’d do best with another confident, playful dog who enjoys my enthusiasm — or as an only dog with plenty of human interaction and exercise.
I already know how to sit, shake paws, lie down, and fetch — and I’m eager to learn more, especially if treats are involved. I love being brushed and pampered, though I’m still getting used to bath time.

One of my favourite things is running alongside a bike — I can happily keep up for 5 km and would make an amazing adventure buddy for someone active.

I get very excited around kids and love their energy, but I don’t always know my own size! I’m friendly through and through, but I’ll need a family willing to help me keep learning gentle manners and boundaries around children.
At home, I’m affectionate, loyal, and independent — just as happy leaning in for cuddles as I am relaxing nearby.
