Foster a bashful beauty! Hi there, my name is Misty and I was saved from the streets by the Angels. I had my kittens in care several years ago, but I’m still searching for my own special sanctuary.

Nature
Misty is a very shy, sweet girl. Over her time in foster care she has built up the courage to approach her Foster Mum in the kitchen or loungeroom and ask for Dine Creamy Treats, but otherwise she still hides when approached. While Misty is easily startled and might offer a small grumble in response, she mostly keeps her paws and claws to herself. On the occasions that Misty has swiped, it has been out of fear because her Foster Mum has pushed a little too fast into her personal space.

Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
Misty is more likely to thrive in an older, quieter home where everyone is patient and calm. Misty has come out of her shell in small ways in her foster home, but this has been some time in the making.

Misty lives with adult cats and a big doggo. She doesn’t mind the other cats and will spend time in their proximity, but she tends to snuggle on her own. She is food possessive, so she will growl at the other cats if they try to approach her while eating.

Misty prefers to keep her distance from the dog.

Likes / Dislikes
Misty absolutely loves her food treats. She goes bonkers for Dine Creamy Treats and Temptations. Sometimes when she has lost herself in her snacks, her Foster Mum has snuck a quick pat in. Misty is the sneakiest of scavengers, so don’t leave any chicken nuggets lying around!

My PURR-fect home would be with hoomans who have experience with shy cats and understand that it may take a lot of time and space before I start to make progress. Ideally I’d be best in a small space to begin with where, I have everything I need – like a bathroom or laundry – to help me feel safe in my own space and so I can’t hide away while we’re getting to know each other.

Perth Rescue Angels recommends all cats are indoor only, unless they have access to a secure cat enclosure.
