About Trigger
Meet Trigger! He needs a new forever family through no fault of his own. Despite his age, Trigger is still very active and loves to act like a puppy, especially when it’s time for a walk or a game of tug-of-war. 🥇
He also enjoys sleeping and sometimes displays the typical old man trait of passing gas! 💨
Trigger is content to relax while you’re at work as long as he’s had his walk. He requires 1.2m fences and will attempt to go for a walk or run if given the chance. 🦮
Trigger has good manners, does not jump, sits at crossings, waits for his food, and is learning to sit at doors. He’s quickly learning which rooms are off-limits. 🎓 He just loves to be surrounded by people and needs to be included in his new family. 🧡
Currently, Trigger is learning not to pull on walks and, with consistent training, will develop good habits. He doesn’t pull excessively but does get very excited. 🦮
Trigger could be an only dog or could live with a calm female dog once introduced properly. 🐶
He’s been wonderful with children, greeting them enthusiastically in the mornings and after school, and modifying his play to match the boys’ strength during games of tug-of-war. He would besuited to a home with older children (over 8 years old). 👨👩👧👧
He is not suited to a home with cats. 🐱❌
Trigger will suit a home where he can hang and sleep inside and have access to a secure well fenced (1.2) yard. 🏡
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.

Adoption details
We list animals for adoption on Pet Rescue as well as on our own Animals-in-Need-Brisbane website. We talk with people who contact about an animal to see what their needs and situation are. Our emphasis is on getting the right animal for the people and the right people for the animal. If everyone's needs are met things usually work out well.
Please note all our cats are indoor cats only.
If the situation sounds good we arrange a meeting. If all goes well we let people try the animal out for a couple of weeks to ensure that everyone is happy.
We keep records of all adopters, follow up to ensure all is well and undertake to take back any animal if circumstances change.
