Rescue Hens

ATTENTION‼️ YARRA VALLEY RESIDENTS & SURROUNDING AREAS!! WE NEED YOUR HELP 

We are holding a Hen Rescue adoption day in the Yarra Rangers region on Saturday, 1st of November 2025, and we need hen adopters! 🐓

These hens are currently on an egg farm but are due to be replaced with younger hens in the coming weeks. Each year, millions of hens on commercial egg farms are culled once their egg production declines - this is common practice and the heartbreaking reality behind the carton of eggs you see at the supermarket. 😢

Will you help us rescue these deserving souls? The number of lives we rescue depends on how many adopters open their homes.

We believe these hens deserve to experience life and love as companions - their worth extending beyond what they can give. 

Thanks to the incredible support of communities across Australia, we have successfully rescued and rehomed thousands of hens. But our mission is far from over. 🚀🧡

Whether you are looking for family companions or some garden helpers to give a good life to, we encourage you to open your home to a rescued hen by adopting TODAY.

How to Adopt: 
- Submit a message or send an email to info@tilthecowscomehome.org
- Complete a quick application form (this is to ensure the hens go to great homes)
- Collect your rescue hens on 1/11/25 between  9.30 am and 10.30 am

‌*Adopters can adopt as many hens as are suitable for their space. Adoption donation applies. Hens are Hyline Brown breed & approximately 12 months of age. The photo used is for illustration purposes only; hens may have more or fewer feathers.
