About Mister and Kaydo
Meet Mister and Kaydo! These beautiful senior brothers are urgently needing a home together! 💕
We are looking for an urgent new forever home for these beautiful boys as part of our assisted rehoming program. They need to be urgently moved from their current circumstances. 💔
It would be amazing if we could find them a Sharpei experienced home. 👌
They love cuddles and kisses and long walks. 🥰
They get along well with female dogs and all humans 👫 although they grew up in a female household.
They spend their days outside sunbathing ☀️ but love to snuggle in bed with you at night. ✨
They grew up on an 1.5 acre of land up until a year ago. 🏡
They grew up with two adult females in the house. They haven’t had good experiences with males so they can be a little timid. 🧸
They are both toilet trained. 🚽
They will sleep on dog beds next to your bed but they may sneak onto the bed during the night. 🌛
They are fed semi moist kibble which is available at Woolies as they don’t have many teeth. 🦷
Mister is lovingly called Mister baby or little handsome. He loves cuddles and humans and is the biggest sook EVER. He can get a little jealous sometimes. 🤭
He loves walks and car drives. He can be a little naughty when he doesn’t get his way but he listens most of the time. 🚘
He is pretty easy to walk on a lead, he pulls a little bit but will not try to take off. 🦮
He does get anxiety from time to time, this is evident when he starts to shake. He HATES storms and isn’t the biggest fan of water. Mister is good with all other dogs but is scared of puppies. He is also very vocal when playing. 🐾
He will growl and bark and this can confuse some dogs. 🥴
Kaydo is also a sook but is more than happy to relax and do his own thing. I call him toothless as he has lost many throughout his life, and my burnt potato as someone said it sounds like I’m yelling out potato when calling him. Kaydo also loves car rides and walks however Kaydo is a little more difficult to walk. 🦮
He does pull and if we pass another dog he will get quiet anxious. 🥰
Kaydo HATES squeaky noises such as a door creaking in the wind or wind tapping the blinds. When this happens he will put his tail between his legs and try to climb onto or under you. Sometimes he will try to get under mister and this can lead to a little growl. 😬
Kaydo is sometimes stubborn but will listen most of the time. Kaydo HATES water and can be a struggle to bath sometimes. He loves a good sunbathe though. 🌞
They need an inside home where they can hangout and sleep inside and have access to a well secured and fenced yard. 🐶
Location Beaudesert.
Assisted Rehoming
This is an assisted rehoming which means that Animals In Need Brisbane (AINB) will advertise, contact applicants and pass on applications that meet the criteria to the owner who will make the final decision on the rehoming of the animal.
AINB may also be requested to undertake an inspection of the successful applicants property to confirm safety and suitability.
There is no adoption fee for assisted rehomings but we do ask for a donation from the successful applicant (of their choosing) to AINB in recognition of the administrative and time costs incurred.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
Adoption details
We list animals for adoption on Pet Rescue as well as on our own Animals-in-Need-Brisbane website. We talk with people who contact about an animal to see what their needs and situation are. Our emphasis is on getting the right animal for the people and the right people for the animal. If everyone's needs are met things usually work out well.
Please note all our cats are indoor cats only.
If the situation sounds good we arrange a meeting. If all goes well we let people try the animal out for a couple of weeks to ensure that everyone is happy.
We keep records of all adopters, follow up to ensure all is well and undertake to take back any animal if circumstances change.
