About Pepper
Meet Pepper, a handsome fellow with the purr of a finely tuned motor and the heart of a poet. His general personality is a wonderful mix of playful energy and a deeply gentle nature, making him a true cuddle bug.
Pepper has never experienced living with another cat and would do best as solo star, he's shown that he's not that keen on the occasional wandering feline entering his yard. He has shown that slow and careful introduction, he might enjoy the company of chilled out canine buddy.
Pepper’s daily vibe is one of calm, companionable supervision; he loves to follow his people around in the morning, making sure everything is running smoothly before settling down for a long, luxurious nap in his favourite armchair. What makes us smile every time is his hilarious tradition of helping with the washing—he comes running the moment the bed sheets are changed, just so he can tunnel and hide underneath them!
He’s friendly and affectionate with familiar people, always ready to smooch, play, or hop up for a cuddle. Around new faces, he takes his time, preferring to observe before joining in—but once he decides you’re part of his circle, he’s completely at ease. Loud noises are not his favourite, but he'll simply find a quiet spot nearby to make himself comfortable, watching until he’s ready to engage.
Pepper would thrive in a calm household where his gentle spirit is understood and appreciated. A family that is home more often than not would provide him with the constant, reassuring presence he adores. He's compatible with respectful children aged six and up, and he’s been wonderfully gentle with younger kids, too. While he loves an adventure, Pepper has no road sense, so safe outdoor access is a must, perhaps with a secure cat run or catio.
His hobbies are specific and charmingly simple. His three favourite things are his silver star toy, his little white soccer ball, and, quite simply, you—his special human. A happy day for Pepper starts with a quiet morning check-in on his guardian, a walk on his lead and harness in the front yard at lunchtime, and an afternoon of sitting on a lap while someone reads. His most endearing, quirky habit is his absolute love of being brushed; it’s an instant purr-starter and a wonderful bonding activity.
This wonderful cat deserves a stable home because he has so much love and gentle companionship to give. He adapts well, he is trusting, and he is ready to fill your quiet moments with his soft purrs. Give this sensitive, smoochy boy a secure, loving place to call his own, and you will gain a loyal, gentle shadow for all your days.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
