Meet Corporal Cashew,
Corporal Cashew is a charming, affectionate sweetheart who’s guaranteed to melt your heart! This handsome boy is gentle, friendly, and full of personality. He’s perfectly suited for first-time owners and would fit in beautifully with any household. Corporal Cashew is also great with kids of all ages and is more than happy to be picked up, carried, and cuddled — in fact, he loves it!
He absolutely adores being patted and touched, especially those all-important ear and chin scratches. When he’s feeling extra content, he’ll roll around with delight, purring away and flashing you his flirty side. He’s the kind of cat who will actively seek you out for affection, leaning in for head bunts and soaking up every bit of love you give him.
Corporal Cashew has a lovely, balanced nature — happy to chill and do his own thing, but always curious and ready to engage with you. He’s mildly interested in toys (but can be coy, especially if they’re new to him!) but really prefers your attention and affection over playtime. He’s not fussy with his food and is just as easy-going in his dining habits as he is in everything else.
Gentle, affectionate, and irresistibly sweet, Corporal Cashew is the kind of cat who’ll make every day brighter just by being there — calm, loving, and always ready for a cuddle.
As we cannot test in this environment, we are unsure how Corporal Cashew would go living with dogs. This would be up to the discretion of his new owners.
As for cats, Corporal Cashew seems interested in making friends and he previously lived with other cats too. We encourage anyone with existing cats to do a gradual and supervised introduction over a few days to ensure that both cats have the best chance of becoming friends.
We always encourage cats to be indoor cats. Corporal Cashew has already experienced living on the streets and he enjoys being inside where he feels safe. If he is outside, it will increase his chances of running away, getting lost, injured, or worse. As an inside cat he can live his best life possible.
Staff Comments: Corporal Cashew just wants you love, affection and attention. He has so much love to give and loves to get it in return. He loves being patted and having his ears and chin scratched. He spends most of his time chilled out, or curled up and when you meet him he'll roll around flirtatiously in his condo for you.

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
The adoption fee for dogs covers C5 vaccination, health check, heartworm testing, desexing, micro-chipping, and registration.
