Meet Mr Peanut,
Mr Peanut is a big, friendly guy with an even bigger heart! This charming cat is easy-going, affectionate, and loves being around people. He’s adaptable and would fit in beautifully with just about any household — whether you’re a first-time cat owner or a seasoned feline friend. He’s happy to meet kids of all ages and takes everything in his stride. He suitable to meet kids of any age, too.
Mr Peanut loves attention and will eagerly come looking for you when he’s in the mood for affection. He especially adores chin and ear scratches and will lean right in for more, giving you gentle head bunts to show his appreciation. While he’s not the biggest fan of being picked up (and considering his size, that’s understandable!), he’s very polite about it and will simply wriggle until his paws are back on the floor.
This sweet boy has a nice balance of playfulness and chill — he enjoys his feather and wand toys but is just as happy to lounge around and watch the world go by. He’s confident, friendly, and social, with a calm and gentle nature that makes him incredibly easy to love. Plus, he’s not picky with food — he’ll eat just about anything you offer him!
Mr Peanut is the perfect mix of cuddly, curious, and carefree — a truly lovable cat who’s ready to bring warmth and personality into his new home.
As we cannot test in this environment, we are unsure how Mr Peanut would go living with dogs. This would be up to the discretion of his new owners.
As for cats, Mr Peanut seems interested in making friends and he also previously lived with other cats. We encourage anyone with existing cats to do a gradual and supervised introduction over a few days to ensure that both cats have the best chance of becoming friends.
We always encourage cats to be indoor cats. Mr Peanut has already experienced living on the streets and he enjoys being inside where he feels safe. If he is outside, it will increase his chances of running away, getting lost, injured, or worse. As an inside cat he can live his best life possible. If outside, we recommend investing in a cat enclosure or catio so that if he is able to take in the sights, sounds and scents of the outside world while being safely contained.
Staff Comments: Mr Peanut is a big boy who is so handsome and he loves to play with interact with you. He would fit beautifully into any household and would be a wonderful addition into any family.

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
