Meet Barney – Your New Best Friend! 
Barney is a sweet, loving, and incredibly loyal boy who adores being around his humans. Wherever you go, Barney will be right by your side, he’s a true companion dog. He lives for belly rubs, loves having his paws held, and despite his size, he’s convinced he’s a lap dog. Expect plenty of cuddles and rubs!

Barney can get a little bouncy when he’s excited, but he’s responding well to training and will thrive with continued positive reinforcement. He already knows how
to sit, stay, and wait until he’s told to eat. He is also learning drop - he’s there, though sometimes he’d rather you play tug first! Barney is a curious and very smart boy who
loves to be involved in everything you do. While he is food-motivated, which makes training fun and rewarding, he knows not to beg while you are eating.

Barney absolutely loves his walks and, while he can pull a little at first in his excitement, he quickly settles down and enjoys sniffing everything in sight. He is
strong so needs to be walked by someone who can handle him and keep his training going. He’s great with other dogs and people and is more likely to walk away from a
confrontation than cause one. He is untested with cats, with caution being required around poultry, horses and kangaroos.

Barney is a huge fan of car rides, anywhere you go, he wants to come too. When home alone, he is happy to keep himself busy with a bone or his favourite toys. He is
house-trained, sleeps peacefully at the foot of the bed, and is an all-around excellent sleeper. Barney would thrive in a home with another friendly dog, older children (because of
his size) or a couple ready to treat him like family. He is truly a sooky delight with so much love to give. He can’t wait to find his forever family - could that be yours?

The adoption fee of $700 assists to cover the costs of vet work such as sterilisation, microchip, microchip ownership transfer, flea and worm treatment, vaccinations, vet check, blood tests and equipment.
