About Calippo
Meet Calippo! Mumma Callipo is a brave and resilient lady who’s come a long way. Her story began when she was abandoned with her six tiny babies, left in the rain on a vet’s doorstep over a weekend. Not much is known about her past, but it’s clear she had a rough start. Despite everything, she is learning that people can be kind, it just takes her a little time to trust them. When Calippo first came into care she was terrified! She tried to climb the walls looking for an escape, and for weeks she hid inside the couch or in wardrobes, keeping her babies safe. Over the past three months, she’s made amazing progress. Now, she is happy to sit in the lounge room while people are around and even enjoy gentle pats but if someone stands up suddenly, she will dart back under the couch to her safe spot. Calippo is fine being patted but she still very nervous about being picked up. With the right person, someone calm, patient, and gentle, Calippo will continue to blossom. Since feeling more secure she has become quite a vocal girl who likes to talk. She would do best in a very quiet home with no dogs and no young children. She has learned to tolerate other cats, though it took her a month to feel comfortable with them. Calippo is a cat who will reward patience with quiet love. Calippo will need to remain indoors to keep her safe from outside dangers! If you would like to meet Calippo, please speak with the friendly team at PETstock Tuggerah!

Adoption details
- You contact us to obtain an adoption application and discuss the animal of interest.
Once the application is completed and returned it will be assessed for suitability. We will also ask for rental agreements or rates and photos of your home. Please also include photos of your fencing .
- A meet and greet with the dog and all members of the adopting family and current dogs are arranged where possible.
This usually coincides with a yard check, to ensure the safety and security of the property on which the dog will be kept. - we understand that this is not always possible in interstate adoptions and this will be discussed on your initial contact.
- Payment of the adoption fee is made in one full payment. The dog is then handed over with any belongings, and all relevant paperwork and records. Please note we do have contracts in place that must be signed.
- Once the 14 day 'settling in' period has ended, the change of ownership microchip details are submitted to council and the adoption is officially finalised.
- For interstate adoptions- The adoptor must have a meet and greet with the animal they are adopting. We will not send an animal over without a meet. All transport costs including flights, will need to be paid in full by the adoptor.
- For cats, all adoptions take place at PETstock Tuggerah unless the profile states otherwise.
