About Sasquatch
Sasquatch — affectionately known as Sassy — is a hilarious little explorer with striking two-toned eyes, a blotchy nose, and some seriously pointy ears. Walking down the street with Sassy is guaranteed to turn heads — this pup is kind of a big deal.
Still a puppy, Sassy has already mastered some impressive skills:
✅ Crate trained and sleeps through the night
✅ Toilets on command
✅ Knows “sit,” “down,” “bed,” and stays out of the kitchen
✅ Walks beautifully on lead
✅ Rides well in the car
✅ Great at fetch and tug
✅ Has reliable recall
✅ Learning to wait at doors
Sassy loves to be part of the action — whether it’s hiking, sniffy walks, playing games, or just supervising daily routines. Cuddling isn’t quite Sassy’s forte just yet, but this pup is happy to chill at your feet after a big outing. Not overly clingy, but definitely likes to keep tabs on their humans (and may holler a little if left behind).
Currently living in a multi-dog foster home, Sassy adores canine companions. This clever pup knows when to switch on the zoomies and when to curl up for a nap with foster siblings.
Sassy's Ideal Home:
🟢 A backyard for zoomies
🟢 A family that enjoys walks, training, and having fun
🟢 Experience with working breeds
🟢 A doggy buddy would be amazing, but not essential
🟢 A home with time, patience, and love to help Sassy thrive
Sassy would love a home where someone is around most of the time. Still young and learning about the world, this pup currently manages being left alone for a couple of hours — especially after a walk or play session.
Energy Level:
Let’s not sugar-coat it — Sassy has energy to spare!
Children:
Sassy hasn’t been tested with children. A home without small kids is recommended for now, though older, dog-savvy children may be a good match.
Other Pets:
Dogs? Obsessed. Sassy currently lives with a pack of foster siblings and thrives in their company. Play hard, nap hard — and if things get too sassy, this pup takes correction like a champ. A playful dog (or two) at home would be wonderful but isn't a must, provided there's plenty of fun and engagement.
Cats? Surprisingly chill. Sassy has met cats and handled the situation with grace. While they may not become best friends, Sassy is content to mind their own business as long as the cats do the same.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
