Rising to the top of the bunch, meet Soufflé!

He's not shy- this boy's got confidence, character, and a healthy appetite for fun. But he does require a special touch. Handle Soufflé too roughly or rush things, and, well, like any true soufflé- he might deflate a little. He's still learning his social skills with both people and dogs, and is looking for a savvy, dog-wise adopter who knows their way around canine communication. He thrives with someone who can read his body language, respect his space, and help him rise to his full potential.

If your favourite type of dog is a brick with a heart of gold, Soufflé might just be your guy. He's a clever, food-motivated pup that has a real passion for food. He's been working with our behaviour team, and with his food obsessed personality- he's taken to it like a duck to water. He is currently on behaviour medication, which he'll need to stay on long-term. But don't worry- our team is more than happy to chat through everything with you and support his continued progress at home.

Soufflé would be happy to go home with another dog, however Soufflé's type in other dogs is very specific. He's a little socially awkward, and is still learning his doggy social skills. His favourite thing to do is play rough with other dogs, and is looking for a tolerant bestie who also loves to play, but can teach him how to be the best dog he can be. Please bring along all resident dogs to the meet and greet!

At the moment Soufflé will need to go home with adults only. He's still learning how to manage his energy and excitement, and when things get a bit too much, he can resort to mouthing or similar behaviours. He's making great progress, though, especially with calm, low-energy play, consent-based affection, and people who take the time to understand his body language. When his needs are respected, he becomes a loving, extra cuddly companion who's more than happy to lean in for affection.
