About Fran
Fran - Not the Nanny, But She'll Still Steal the Show!
Female Tabby | 1 year, 9 months | Sophisticated, Quiet, and Full of Charm
Looking to adopt a cat who's more Broadway lounge than Broadway belter?
Meet Fran - a refined tabby who's nothing like her namesake from the hit TV show The Nanny. She won't be chasing toddlers, cracking jokes, or bursting into song. In fact, she'd prefer a home without kids altogether - this lady likes her peace and quiet.
Fran is the kind of cat who doesn't need flashy outfits or dramatic entrances to win your heart. She's a minimalist queen - a few words, a few purrs, and a whole lot of grace. She's not here to be the center of attention, but when she decides to spend time with you, it's like getting a front-row seat to a very exclusive performance.
Adopting a quieter cat like Fran means embracing the beauty of gentle companionship. She's the kind of feline who'll sit beside you during your evening wind-down, not interrupt it with chaos. She's more "Maxwell Sheffield's study" than "Fran Fine's living room."
And while she may not have a nasal laugh or a Queens accent, Fran does have a heart of gold. Once she trusts you, she'll show you a side of herself that's warm, loyal, and quietly affectionate - the kind of love that doesn't need a laugh track.
So if you're ready for a cat who's classy, calm, and completely captivating - Fran's your girl.
She's not The Nanny, but she is the one you've been waiting for.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
