About Maggie
🖤 Meet Maggie - Our Little Magpie Marvel! 🤍
12 weeks old • Female • Black & White • Medium-sized (expected)
This stunning black and white girl is Maggie, and she's ready to swoop into your life and steal your heart!
At just 12 weeks of age, Maggie has already had a bit of a rough start, having been through three homes in her short life. But now she's landed safely at BARC, and she's hoping her next move will be her forever nest.
Maggie is at the peak age for socialisation, and she's eager to experience all the world has to offer with a loving family by her side. She's a curious little chirper who's still growing in confidence, so she'll need a home that's committed to gentle exposure, positive training, and lots of love and patience.
She'd thrive in a home with:
Another well-mannered, socialised dog to help guide her
Possibly a cat who's used to puppies
Children who understand that she's still learning and may be a little cautious at times
We suspect Maggie will grow into a medium-sized bundle of joy, full of beans, excitement, and affection. She's got all the makings of a real ripper of a companion - loyal, loving, and always ready to sing her song of happiness.
If you're ready to welcome a little magpie into your life, come meet Maggie. She's ready to perch in your heart and make it her forever home.
To book a meet and greet with Maggie please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au .
Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
