Meet Oscar, a handsome, gentle soul who's learning that the world - and the people in it - can be kind, calm, and full of love.

Oscar is a quiet and thoughtful boy who has made beautiful progress in foster care. While he can still be a little shy, especially with loud noises or sudden movements, his confidence grows each day. He's learning to enjoy gentle affection, leaning into chin and cheek scratches and purring softly when brushed. Being picked up isn't really his style, but pats on his back and quiet companionship are right up his alley.

When you're not around, Oscar happily entertains himself by batting at plush toys or chasing a wand toy, and when it's time to rest, you'll find him perched up high on his cat tower or gazing out the window, watching the world go by. His foster carer leaves little treats hidden around for him, which he loves to search for - a fun game that also helps build his confidence.

Oscar would thrive in a calm, predictable home with patient humans who will let him take things at his own pace. Once he feels safe, he shows just how sweet and gentle he truly is. He'd prefer to be the only cat in the home, as seeing or hearing other cats can make him nervous.
