Meet GUS, affectionately known as Gussy.
Once known as Ghost, this big-hearted boy has had quite the journey — and now he’s ready for his forever chapter, filled with love, laughter, and a family to call his own.

Gus is a gentle, XL-sized lap dog with an even bigger heart. He adores his humans and has a special soft spot for kids — truly believing they’re his little buddies to love and protect. Despite his size, he’s calm, affectionate, and happiest when he’s close to those he loves.

Life hasn’t always been kind to Gussy. His first mum sadly passed away when he was just a pup, and though he’s been through heartbreak, he’s never lost his sweet spirit. After spending time in a loving home that helped him rebuild his confidence, he’s now thriving again in care — showing everyone what a resilient, loyal and loving boy he is.

Gus is a smart goofball who enjoys routine, good food (any kind!), and being part of the family. He’s crate and toilet trained, knows his basic obedience, and loves car rides. He’s great on the lead with just a touch of excitement when the world gets interesting. He’d love a friendly female dog companion, though he’s equally happy soaking up all the attention as your one and only. Gus is a lover of food and cuddles not so much a lover of storms or fireworks.

This boy deserves a home that will include him in everyday life — walks, cuddles, and quiet moments on the couch. Once you meet him, you’ll feel it — that special spark he has.
