ABOUT
🧡 Meet Merida – Our Ginger Disney Princess! 🧡
Merida is one of our special Brave Litter kittens — a group of tiny wildlings who came into care having never known human kindness. When they first arrived, they were all hiss, hide, and wide eyes at every sound. But with patience, love, and gentle hands, Merida has blossomed into the gorgeous little adventurer she is today.
Named after the Disney princess from Brave, Merida is a ginger girl through and through — fiery, curious, and absolutely stunning. (Fun fact: ginger girls are extremely rare!)
✨ Just like her namesake, Merida is:
🏹 Incredibly athletic – her jumps to catch swishy stick toys are the stuff of legend! The moment she spots a wand toy, she’s in full pounce mode until your arms need a break.
🔍 Curious to her core – she’s the first to explore new cupboards, inspect new furniture, or investigate any mysterious noise.
💗 Caring and loyal – she’s a little mumma’s girl, often checking in on her mum Margaret for a smooch before heading off to play.
🐾 Adores her brothers – she’s a bit of a tomboy at heart and is always the first to start a playful rumble or sneak up on one of her brothers for a surprise pounce.
🦁 Brave but cautious – she might hiss when startled, but it’s all for show. Within seconds she’s back to exploring or chasing her toys with enthusiasm.
Merida has come a long way from her early days as a timid wildling. She’s now a playful, curious kitten who adores treats and games, but she still has a hint of her wild roots. With strangers, she’ll hang back at first — but a creamy treat tube in your hand will quickly win her over.
She’s looking for a home that will continue to help her build her confidence and let her blossom at her own pace. She’s not going to be a lap cat on day one, but give her time, love, and patience, and she’ll reward you with endless purrs, playtime, and devotion.
Because she’s still a little shy with loud noises and fast movements, a quieter home or one with older children would be the best match for this beautiful braveheart.
