About Buddy
When buddy was rescued from the pound about 1 month ago, the vet who did buddy's desexing, vaccinations and other routine vet work, found that he also had a heart murmur. As buddy is so young, i went ahead and rescued him not thinking that it would be terribly serious. However, buddy's heart murmur is very serious. After a second opinion and a cardiac ultrasound to ensure a correct diagnosis, it was discovered that buddy has large holes in the valves in his heart, but, sadly, there is no operation or medication that can help buddy. Unfortunately for him, his life will be cut short; luckily, though, buddy has no idea that he has a terminal condition. He loves the world and thinks that all dogs, cats and people are his friends - which is lovely. Buddy is a beautiful little soul and even though his life will not be long, whoever adopts buddy for what ever time he has left will be enriched by the experience of sharing that life however short. At the moment, buddy is living a fairly normal life with several other dogs in a loving and understanding foster home. He goes on walks, but is carried immediately he shows any sign of being tired; he plays with his foster brothers and sisters and when he is tired he puts himself to bed for a while. Buddy's foster carer is a groomer working from her own home. Buddy is in charge of the grooming room where he sits on her feet as she snips and brushes away - - - - - -
after reading buddy's story, if you think you might have room in your life for this gorgeous boy please contact me. I would love to keep buddy but i do not have the lifestyle that buddy needs. Buddy needs to go to a home where he has another friendly and playful dog and with humans who can spend most of their time with him. If you are someone who goes out to work and would need to leave buddy for long please don't enquire, as for him to have a home with someone who is at work would be a waste of a large part of buddy's life. Buddy is a house dog only, he does not sleep outside, he must sleep inside preferably with his new mum and dad or their older children (young children would not be suitable) and his every wish must be your command (naturally).
