About Isla
Meet Isla, she might take a little time to warm up, but once she does, she's the quintessential "velcro dog" — always by your side, ready to give and receive affection. Her gentle spirit shines through, rewarding those who give her the understanding and patience she needs.
Isla's ideal home would be one where she can be the center of attention, perhaps alongside other pets who can offer her companionship and comfort. Despite her cautious nature, she's already toilet trained and knows basic commands, making her a well-mannered addition to any household.
While Isla may startle easily, creating a calm and predictable environment will allow her true personality to emerge. She's an intelligent, loyal canine who thrives on positive reinforcement and gentle guidance.
For the adopter who has the patience and heart to let Isla bloom at her own pace, you'll find an affectionate, loyal friend who'll enrich your life with quiet yet profound love.
Medical notes
Has had a history of ear problems in the past. They have been treated, but ongoing monitoring and possible vet visits may be needed if the issue returns.
Adoption details
We run by appointment, preferably all members of the household to come meet the animal you are wanting to adopt.
If you own another dog, you must bring them along to make sure all dogs get along.
As our goal is to adopt animals out from the shelter into loving homes as fast as possible, multiple bookings may be made for the same animal.
We are not able to hold any animals for any reason.
As such, there is a possibility that the animal you may have found a forever home before your appointment. If this is the case we will inform you by phone call as soon as possible.
