About Mikee
Meet Mikee the gorgeous 5 years and 7 months old Pomeranian who weighs around 9kg and carries himself with an irresistible mix of charm and cheer.
With his fluffy coat, bright eyes, and wagging tail, Mikee has a way of instantly winning hearts.
Mikee came into care as a private surrender, through no fault of his own.
He’s the kind of dog who radiates happiness, bringing a smile to everyone he meets.
Mikee is a gentle and easy-going boy who enjoys a calm, relaxed lifestyle, yet still has a playful side when the mood strikes.
He is mostly toilet trained and prefers to use his regular spots, showing consistency in his habits. While he hasn’t been tested with a doggy door, he’s a clever and adaptable dog who takes new things in stride.
He hasn’t required crate training, as he much prefers the comfort of a cozy bed or couch where he can stretch out and snooze.
At night or when his humans are nearby, he will happily curl up on the bed, though if no one’s around, he’s just as content settling himself on the sofa or soft carpet.
On walks, Mikee is a delightful little companion. He is calm on the lead and enjoys getting out and about, but he can be easily distracted if other dogs are nearby. He doesn’t cause a fuss or bark when passing them, but he is curious enough to turn his attention their way.
Around the home, he’s generally quiet and peaceful, although he may give a good bark when he spots other dogs outside
With people, however, Mikee is calm, friendly, and welcoming.
He greets visitors with tail wags and a happy expression, always ready to brighten the room with his cheerful nature.
Mikee has a laid-back attitude towards other dogs, showing little interest in engaging with them.
While he lives happily in their company, he doesn’t seek out interaction and is perfectly content doing his own thing.
With children, Mikee is quite chill, though he may show protective instincts if he feels his family needs him.
Cats, on the other hand, aren’t his favorite, he tends to bark at them to send them on their way. For this reason, a cat free home would be best suited to him.
What makes Mikee truly special is his warm and joyful personality.
He is playful and fun-loving, enjoying games of fetch and playing with his toys, and he has an adorable quirk of loving water splashes on his face, it never fails to make him light up with happiness.
He is motivated by pats and treats, always eager for a bit of affection and reward.
Grooming is a part of life for Pomeranians, and Mikee takes it all in stride. He is wonderfully calm and cooperative during his grooming sessions, making it easy to keep him looking his handsome best.
Above all, Mikee is a companion who thrives on love and kindness. He is a dog who brings calmness and cheer in equal measure, perfectly balancing his chilled-out nature with moments of playful energy.
His easy-going temperament makes him adaptable to many situations, and his cheerful spirit means he’ll quickly become the heart of his new home.
Mikee is now looking for a family who will adore him as much as he adores them, someone who will give him plenty of cuddles, walks, and the security of knowing he is truly home.
In return, he promises unwavering loyalty, endless smiles, and the kind of companionship only a dog like him can give.
If you’re searching for a happy, gentle, and loving companion to brighten your days, Mikee is ready to wag his way straight into your heart and your home.

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.

Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
