About Cooper
Introducing Cooper!
Cooper is a Cavoodle born 31st May 2024.
Cooper was surrendered to the facility as he was trying to chase after the cats he lived with. While he wasn't trying to hunt or hurt them, they were becoming too stressed with his constant attention. As much as they wanted to keep him, they had to put their older cats first.
His surrender profile states; he is an indoor dog & he is house trained, He travels well in the car, has no food aggression or separation anxiety, he is best suited with older children, he's good with other dogs & is friendly with strangers.
Since being at the facility Cooper has been a very excitable boy who has energy to burn! It appears that he is a water baby, as he dove into his shell pool while it was still being filled and he had some fun splashing in the cool water.
Unfortunately Cooper didn't test well with other dogs while at the facility. He was tested with males, females, larger & smaller dogs and he wasn't friendly with any of them. As his owner has stated he's good with other dogs, it could simply be a stress reaction to the kennel environment, but at the moment we believe he would be best suited as an only dog.
Unfortunately Cooper has shown signs of prey drive with small animals, so he will need a home with no cats or pocket pets ie chickens & rabbits.
Cooper has shown no signs of food aggression, however he has shown mild signs of separation anxiety. Again, this could be a stress reaction to the facility, as his surrender profile states he is fine when being home alone.
Cooper's adoption fee is $950 and includes his desexing, lifetime registration & current vaccination. Cooper is also regularly treated for flea and worms.
