About Iris
*In foster care in Lidcombe, Sydney*
If you’re after a cat who’s equal parts chill, charming, and a little bit silly, Iris might just be your girl!
She’s the type who greets you with a happy tail flick, chats softly about her day, then plops down beside you (but not on you - she’s a 'next to you' gal, not a lap sitter) for some gentle pats. Think of her as your shadow who loves being near the action but still enjoys her personal bubble. She’s the perfect mix of Energizer Bunny and couch potato!
Iris even chirps and purrs in her sleep, no joke! You’ll hear her snoozing away, making tiny dream noises and rumbling with contentment :) Who knows what she’s dreaming about? Maybe snacks, maybe zoomies, maybe world domination.
Like all Maggie's pets, Iris is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: ... has to include a comfy (human) bed where I can spend the night cuddling with you! I do need lots of love and attention, so another furry friend and/or somebody who's retired or works from home would be perfect.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I’ve got energy for days! Expect surprise zoomies, sudden sprints, and the occasional ambush on your unsuspecting feet. But once I’ve drained my tiny batteries, I don’t just nap… I enter a full-on kitty coma. Recharge time is sacred!
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I'm not familiar with kids, but being so chill I’ll sure to make a wonderful companion for the right one!
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I adore other cats! And though I've never met a dog I’ve heard they’re just like bigger cats - what’s not to like? :)

We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at https://form.jotform.co/92940837256870. Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
