About Freddy
Meet Freddy!
Catahoula mix Freddy is a stunning boy with his striking blue eye & beautiful coat. He has a beautiful personality to match his looks. He is currently several volunteers' favourite for walking as he is a pleasure to take out & about on his harness.
The Catahoula Leopard Dog, also known as the Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dog, is an American breed named after Catahoula Parish in Louisiana. It was recognized as the state dog of Louisiana in 1979. The breed's lineage dates back to the mid-1700s when French settlers crossbred local dogs with Beauceron dogs.
The Catahoula Leopard Dog is a versatile and energetic breed known for its striking appearance and strong working instincts, making it an excellent companion for active families and individuals.
Freddy is looking for a loving, kind home who will welcome him in as a treasured new member. He has a lovely happy & outgoing personality & enjoys being the centre of attention.
Freddy is a smart working breed &, as such, he requires regular exercise, outings beyond the back yard, the opportunity to explore, plenty of mental enrichment & ongoing positive reinforcement training. He also enjoys a bit of digging!
Freddy needs secure fencing, a high-quality diet & regular veterinary visits to keep him happy, healthy & safe.
