About Honey
Say hello to Honey, a gorgeous Great Dane cross with a sweet nature and a heart as big as her paws. True to her name, Honey is affectionate, loyal, and eager to find a family who can offer her the love and companionship she deserves.
While she hasn’t shown any escape tendencies, she’s a strong, athletic girl, so secure, solid fencing is a must to keep her safe.
Previously housed outdoors, Honey has adapted well to indoor life and would love a home that offers the best of both worlds: cozy indoor comfort and outdoor access where she can stretch those long legs. She does best with a predictable routine and a home where someone can keep me occupied by providing stuff to do while they're away at work or out and about.
Honey is gentle and friendly but can be a little boisterous in her excitement, especially during play. For that reason, she’s best matched with families with children aged 6 years and older who are confident around large dogs.
Best with Children Aged: 6 years +
Compatibility with Other Dogs: Can be selective (e.g. no off leash dogs parks)
Training and Behaviour Needs: Needs minimal training (e.g. senior dogs)
Fencing Needs: Solid fencing (e.g. nothing to climb or height restriction)
Indoors/Outdoors Living Preference: Indoors and outdoors
Energy Level of Household: Moderate (Average)
Additional Needs: Veterinary consult prior to adoption; Must have secure outdoor access (e.g. enclosed backyard or enclosure attached to the home)
