About Bindi
💔 Meet Bindi – A Brave Girl Learning to Trust Again 💔
Two weeks ago, I collected Bindi from a desperate situation. She had been living in an unsafe home where she existed in constant fear of being physically harmed, an experience that has left her mentally scarred.
Bindi is a forever foster
When she first arrived, Bindi was utterly terrified of human interaction. She would cower away from any attempt at contact, unsure whether kindness even existed.
A visit to the vet revealed just how much she had been suffering. All four of Bindi’s paws were covered in open wounds caused by untreated grass seed impactions. She had an open wound on her stomach, and her neck showed signs of old injuries that had healed poorly, leaving the skin raw and irritated.
The most distressing part, however, was her ears. The vet was unable to properly examine them at first because they were so swollen and traumatised. They resembled cauliflowers, thick, inflamed, and excruciatingly painful to touch. It’s believed that Bindi may now be completely deaf due to years of neglect and untreated infection.
Despite all she has endured, Bindi’s resilience is remarkable. She has attended several vet appointments and continues to receive daily treatments, ear drops, betadine application, skin creams, medicinal baths, and tablets. Through it all, she remains patient, gentle, and incredibly brave.
And the best part? In just two short weeks, Bindi has started to come alive again. Her tail now wags when she sees a friendly face. She’s beginning to enjoy pats, kisses, walks, and even the thrill of a car ride. She’s discovered the joy of playing ball, though she’s still too nervous to walk in front of anyone just yet. Trusting humans will take time, but she’s well on her way.
Bindi is looking for a forever foster carer who can continue supporting both her physical and emotional healing. She’ll need a quiet, child-free home located close to Dalkeith or Wembley, so she can easily access veterinary care. Ideally, her new home will have another older, gentle dog to help guide her, and humans who see their dog as a true family member.
Bindi is searching for love, stability, and a soft place to land, preferably on a comfy lounge beside someone who will never hurt her again.
🐾 Thank you for helping Bindi find the love she’s been waiting for. 🐾
