Hi, I’m Sumi

I’m part of the Japanese litter, and I’m a shy little girl who’s slowly learning to find my confidence and my voice. I might not be the first to run up to greet you, but with patience, kindness, and a quiet space, I’ll blossom into a sweet and loyal little companion.

I love my brother — we wrestle, play, and nap together — but when it comes to other cats, I tend to keep to myself. I’d probably do best with another gentle cat who can help show me the ropes and give me a little extra courage. I haven’t met dogs, but I might be okay with a calm, older dog and slow introductions.

Sudden movements and loud noises make me nervous, so I’d suit a quieter home, ideally without young children. Teenagers or older could be okay, especially if they respect my space. I’m shy around strangers and usually hide at first, but that’s just because the big world still feels a little overwhelming to me.

My litter training is perfect — not a single accident! My favourite games are wrestling with my brother and batting around little balls with bells. I do have some anxiety, so I’ll need a stable home where things don’t change too much and I can take my time settling in.

One of my sweetest quirks is that I become extra affectionate at meal times — that’s when I find my little voice and let you know I’m ready for dinner.

I may not be the boldest kitten, but with love and patience, I’ll be the quiet little shadow who grows to trust you deeply
