About Jaxon
Hi, I’m Jaxon, though most people just call me “good boy.”
I’m a smart, gentle, and loving Collie with a calm nature and a heart full of affection. I’ve been both an inside and outside dog with my foster family, living happily alongside my best mate Finn and a few cats, so I’m well socialised and make friends easily.
I adore kids and am known for being incredibly gentle with them. My favourite part of the day is cuddle time, and my foster mum says I’m like a big, fluffy cloud who loves attention and snacks. I’m fully toilet trained, have great basic manners, and I’m not a barker or an escape artist.
I’m a good eater, not fussy at all, but I do prefer to enjoy my meals in peace. I’ve been raised on dry food only, as wet food tends to upset my tummy.
While I came into care with Finn, I understand we may not find a forever home together, but I’d love to have another friendly dog to keep me company. I’m generally a laid-back Collie with the occasional burst of zoomies, so I’ll fit comfortably into most homes that can offer love, companionship and some daily activity.
At my recent vet visit, I tested very faintly positive for heartworm, which likely means only a few adult worms were present. I’ve already begun treatment under the vet’s recommended slow-kill protocol, and my rescue has covered the costs. From here on, my new family will just need to be strict in keeping up my monthly parasite prevention such as Milbemax, Advantage, or Simparica Trio and another test in a year's time would be recommended.
I come with my bed, collar, lead and elevated food bowl from my previous home, where Finn and I were sadly rehomed through no fault of our own due to a child’s allergies.
If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who will fill your home with love and calm energy, please come meet me. I can’t wait to be your new best friend.
Love,
Jaxon-
