About Garfield
Garfield has had his whole world turned upside down. After being surrendered, this timid boy is finding the shelter environment overwhelming and scary. It's no surprise, for a sensitive, soft-natured cat like Garfield, all the noise and bustle can be a lot to take in.
But beneath that nervous exterior is an incredibly sweet and gentle soul. When you give Garfield a moment of calm, you'll see his true self start to shine through. The soft blinks, the quiet purrs, the slow steps of trust. He wants to connect; he's just waiting for someone patient enough to let him do it in his own time.
Garfield isn't the kind of cat who will rush into your arms on day one and that's okay. The best things in life often take time. With a peaceful home, a cozy hiding spot, and someone who understands that love can't be rushed, Garfield will slowly unfold like a flower in the sun.
Saving Garfield means more than just adopting a cat, it means giving a frightened soul the chance to feel safe again. The journey may start quietly, but the reward will be immense: the moment he looks at you with trust in his eyes, you'll know it was all worth it.
If you believe in second chances and the beauty of gentle love, Garfield is waiting for you to show him what home truly means.
Garfield is part of our Rescue or Rehome program, where we are committed to finding homes for cats and kittens who simply cannot cope in the shelter environment. If you can open your heart and home to Garfield - or if you're a rescue group able to help - please reach out to us at adoptions@dogshome.com
