Hi, I’m Jiji!

I’m growing every day in my own quiet way. I’m a bit more reserved and I take my time to feel safe, but once I do, I love gentle playtime and snuggles. I’ve started following my foster mum around the house lately, she says I’ve got real “Velcro bestie” potential too! I may not chirp and chatter like my brother, but I do let out the cutest little meows when I want a pat or two.

You’ll often find me hanging out under the bed or perched on the stairs (prime thinking spots, if you ask me). I don’t mind being picked up briefly, but I feel safest when I’ve got all four paws on the ground. I’ll sit near you, and when I’m ready, I’ll come over for soft strokes and affection. I do like to be close… just on my terms!
Playtime is where I really shine. I’m absolutely obsessed with anything ribbon-y or dangly on a stick, and recently I’ve discovered the pure joy of chasing empty toilet rolls, who knew they could be that much fun?

I’m still a bit unsure around new people and get scared by loud noises, so a calm, quiet home would be ideal for me. I’d do best in a family with older kids who understand I need time and space to come out of my shell or gentle singles or couples with room in their hearts for one (or two!) more. With patience and love, I’ll reward you with trust, quiet companionship, and a gentle kind of love that grows deeper with time.

Oh, and while I may look like a sleek black panther at first glance, take a closer look and you’ll see I’ve got faint grey stripes all through my coat. My foster mum calls me her little Bagheera, just like the wise, quiet panther from The Jungle Book. I may be independent and like a bit of personal space, but deep down, I’m a big softy who just wants to be loved.
