Well, Ciaran’s here to make that decision easy. We think he might identify as a dog… trapped in a cat’s body, and quite proudly so.

This extremely handsome legend will greet you at the door like you’ve been gone for years, fetch his toys like a pro, and follow you from room to room like your most loyal shadow. If companionship and a new best friend are what you’re craving, Ciaran is your guy. He’d like to be by your side for 99% of his waking hours, and talking to you for the remaining 1%.

It’s hard to believe such a sweet, confident boy has survived so much. Ciaran was hit by a car, breaking his pelvis, and later fought off a nasty infection that almost cost him an eye. He then required a Femoral Head Ostectomy due to damage to his hip., But true to form, he took it all in stride, charming every vet and nurse he met along the way. They still ask after him. That’s the kind of impression he makes.

Ciaran loves playtime, attention, and being part of everything you do. He’s smart, affectionate, and chatty. Because he’s a bit territorial (and let’s be honest, really enjoys being the centre of someone’s universe), he’s best suited to a home where he’s the only cat. He hasn’t met dogs in foster care, but with the right introductions, he might be fine with a calm, cat-friendly dog.

He’s also great with respectful kids aged 6–12 who understand when he’s ready to play, and when he just wants a nap on the couch.

Ciaran deserves a home that treasures him, one where he can finally settle, feel safe, and keep being his happy, loyal, dog-like self.
